The first selection for the leading female
role, Hemamala, was 2011 Miss Sri Lanka Mahampitiya Arachchilage
Pushpika Sandamali de Silva.
However, she was removed from the film as she was found appearing semi nude in several photographs.
Later on air hostess Parasadi Samarakoon was selected for the character.
Starring Heshan Manula as Prince Dantha,
the film also played by Jeewan Kumaratunga, Geetha Kumarasinghe, Mark
Samson, Kamal Deshapriya, Udara Ratnayake, Pium Botheju, Sureni
Asangika, Nilukshi Perera, Dilhani Ekanayake, Sriyantha Mendis, Wasantha
Dukgannarala, Srinath Maddumage, Jayantha Athapaththu, Madumadawa
Aravinda and Gayan Wickrematilake.
Suminda Weerasinghe K.D. Dayananda and
Chandana Jayasinghe handle camera and lighting, Ajith Ramanayake and
Ravindra Guruge editing, Aruna Priyantha Kaluarachchi sound control,
Suneth Nandalal did the art direction and Ranga Dasanayake handle music,
executive producer Nihal Sanjaya joins the production.
