Softlogic to open ‘Burger King” restaurants in Sri Lanka




Sri Lanka based Softlogic Holdings has signed a deal with Singapore based BK AsiaPac Limited to develop, open and operate Burger King (BK) restaurants in the Island nation.

A stock market disclosure by Softlogic says, its fully owned subsidiary, Softlogic Restaurants Private Limited, which will be the master franchisee firm here in Sri Lanka for BK Restaurants, will develop, establish and operate direct owned Burger King Restaurants in the country.

It will also have the right to provide license to Franchisees to develop, establish and operate Franchised Burger King restaurants in Sri Lanka.

Softlogic Restaurants Private Limited is also permitted to use the Burger King Marks and Burger King Systems to run the operations in the country.

BK has agreed to provide services and operational support to Burger King Restaurants operating within Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, Softlogic says it is planning to open three BK restaurants in the coming months in the Island.

Burger King is a globally renowned fast food restaurants chain spread across many parts of the world.
