Duminda Silva : from Nawaloka to Temple trees

It is reported that MP Duminda Silva who was released on bail, had left the Nawaloka Hospital and went to meet the President at the temple trees, to receive greetings. However, Presidential media spokesperson Mr. Mohan Samaranayaka stated that no such meeting was held up until 1.00pm.

It says that the motorcade carrying Mr. Silva has gone in the Navam Mavatha and then turned in to Galle face direction and then entered the Temple trees.

It is interesting to note that after coming down to Sri Lanka from Mt. Elizabeth Hospital Singapore on a wheel chair, Mr. Silva, was able to walk out from the Navaloka hospital.

It is reported that a large gathering of people were waiting outside to welcome him with garlands of flowers.

Mean while Ms. Hirunika Premachandra says that no fair treatement has been done to her since the murder of her father, Mr. Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra.

Holding a media briefing today (27) at her home, Ms. Hirunika made this remark while expressing her views on Mr. Duminda Silva’s departure from the Hospital on bail.

She further stated that by taking the current physical condition of Mr. Silva, she is suspicious about whether he actually suffered grievous bodily harm during the shooting incident in Kolonnawa.
