Elpitiya PS secretary, Mrs. Anusha Batawala Gamage has been transferred after she reportedly failed to address SLFP organizer for Benthara – Elpitiya, Geetha Kumarasinghe as Madam.
This was revealed by UPFA member of the South Provincial Council, Major Ajith Prasanana at the monthly meeting of the PS.
He added that the transferred official has rendered a considerable service to the area.
Noting that Elpitiya has lost an excellent official, Major Ajith Prasanana had further emphasized that such political influences should be stopped.
He also called to request the Ministry of Public Administration to hold an inquiry on the issue.
However, speaking with us, Acting District Secretary of Galle Bandula Harischandra said that the Elpitiya PS secretary had been transferred on her personal request.
