Ambuluwawa fire destroys over 300 acres of land



A fire which broke out in the Ambuluwawa reserve has spread across over 300 acres of land on the mountain range where the Ambuluwawa Bio Diversity Complex is located, Gampola Police said.

In addition to the continues efforts by the fire brigade, Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has also deployed two helicopters to assist in quelling the forest fire.

However, it is reported that so far no damage has been caused to the Bio Diversity Complex building, form the flames.
